Schloss Wartegg on the Rorschacherberg is Bio Suisse certified and, by its own account, the first Swiss Historic Hotel in eastern Switzerland. Its building history goes back to the year 1557, and it sits in a castle park of roughly 130,000 square meters overlooking Lake Constance. Weddings here are exclusive: the hotel never books two celebrations at once, so the entire house is open to only one wedding party on any given day.
The hotel has 25 rooms and suites on the grounds. Several rooms are available for ceremonies: the Stille Raum holds up to 15 people, the Konzertsaal up to 120. Banquets for up to 40 guests can be held on the covered south terrace, and couples wanting more privacy can book the whole restaurant, including every room, which requires booking a minimum of 15 hotel rooms. The kitchen works with seasonal organic ingredients and leans on vegetables from its own garden.
