KMM Kulturzentrum

The KMM Kulturzentrum sits on Edikerstrasse in Dürnten, in the Zurich Oberland, and is first and foremost a museum of mechanical music automatons that also opens its rooms for weddings. The practical part is that the civil ceremony and the reception that follows can happen at the same address. Two rooms are available for the ceremony, aperitif, and meal, the large Orgelsaal and the smaller Saal Heinrich, both set right among the exhibits.

The setting is the real draw. The collection ranks among the largest of its kind in Switzerland, and individual automatons get demonstrated during a visit, which works nicely folded into an aperitif. In 2025 the venue picked up the Swiss Location Award along with the Ausgezeichnet quality seal. Requests for dates and rooms go straight through the center in Dürnten. Anyone expecting the full banquet infrastructure of a hotel should check beforehand what catering, seating, and logistics are actually organized on site.
